How Aadhaar Validation Works

An Aadhaar number is a 12-digit unique identity number issued by UIDAI. This tool validates the number using the Verhoeff algorithm (the mathematical checksum algorithm used by UIDAI) directly in your browser.

Because this runs 100% client-side, your data never leaves your browser.Note: This only verifies the mathematical checksum. It does not check if the Aadhaar is actively registered with UIDAI.
